When the world came to visit, they found something they were not expecting. A county that welcomed them with open arms and hospitality they recorded each event, on the internet and social media in real time.

Some fans were welcomed into their homes, to meet their families and have a traditional American dinner. Some American’s gave rides to stranded world football fans, to their hotel. Restaurants and family diners gave free food to the visitors. Kindness and humanity is, what they discovered when they came to visit America.

All those stories they have heard in movies and tv shows, the media warnings failed to convince the world once they experienced the true people. The posts have overwhelmed the internet, praises about how much they love America, the food, the people have been extremely nice to all the visitors. The one thing the World Cup showed all the people who didn’t come get to see, live on the internet and social media, even the world news informed how much popularity the videos had, it not only let the world see a real picture of American cities, culture and traditions that our country is rich in.

What they discovered in the heartland, the southwest, the east coast and the favorite Texas barbeque of all the World Cup visitors. From the west coast to the east coast, we are barbecuing every house and every family all summer. Each part of the states has its own special dishes and flavors. Texas BBQ is famous for its slow smoked approach, the Texas trinity is brisket, beef ribs and sausage. Rather than relying on the heavy sauces, it uses dry rubs, slow smoking it to give it that smokey favor, with meat that falls apart.

Central Texas is the most famous style, it uses quality beef, smoked over post oak with simple salt and pepper rubs. Iconic restaurants, including Franklin Barbecue in Austin and Kreuz Market in Lockhart. They serve it with onions and homemade bread, an American classic recipe. Franklin Barbecue in Austin Texas is the most famous spot in the state, known for its melt in your mouth central Texas brisket, 900 E. 11 th St. Is where it is located.

Why Texas-Style Barbecue Is Cooked Over Wood

This legendary spot remains the gold standard perfectly barked. Among the many destinations where barbecue is evolving across the county. Barbecue was born out of necessity, but now it is a rich culture of pitmasters. New restaurants are popping up all over the country. Every home in America either has their own barbeque at their home or big family holiday parties. During the day, we start all the food in the morning. It is an all-day event, baking desserts, and marinating meat. Some start the night before, if they have a large number of guests. All summer we grill until the children go back to school in September. When the World Cup visitors saw when they came.

Was American flags everywhere and for the first time in some of their lives, something that hundreds of videos told us here in America. That we let them all fly their flags proudly, from each nation, they came the athletes and the world football fans.

Then something happened in Boston, that all of Americans were shocked by. The Scottish fans loved the Boston Larger so much the whole city ran dry. They sold more beer in one night, than they have in three Saint Patrick’s Day’s here in America. The Irish pubs in Boston, had to send in reinforcements to the whole city. They were not ready for the Scottish fans, and the people of Boston fell in love with, their energy and they have never had such a great party. It inspired the country, how much the Scottish love the USA.

The Tartan Army captured the heart of Boston and its people. It is estimated around 50,000 Scottland fans, have visited the city, in the period surrounding Scotlands two stage matches. Scottland played Morocco and after, the hordes of fans have called this city home. For a whole week of celebrating, eating American food and parting with the city locals. They had an amazing time, they left behind a yellow/orange traffic cone in every part they celebrated. Like a goodbye, to their old cousins they never knew they had.

It was the family reunion we never knew we needed. America and the world will never feel the same, from this moment on. This World Cup has brought more kindness and unity in one month. Then those years of peace talks have every done in my lifetime. It has been good for business too, Devon Savage from Boston Beer which owns the Samuel Adams Taproom said the Tartan Army had drunk them dry. She added. “For perspective from Thursday through Sunday, they drank four times as much Boston Lager as we ran through on a typical four-day holiday stretch like 4th of July”. The World Cup provides international football fans with an opportunity to attend their first baseball game. To say they are having a very good time is an understatement. Whether it is in the Boston pubs or the baseball stadiums, the fans bring the party. MLB stadiums are being taken over by the large groups of World Cup fans, creating a world football style atmosphere across the ledge.

Scottland’s fanbase, the Tartan army, has attended multiple baseball games during the team’s time in the World Cup. It was Scottish Hartage Night at Fenway Park, with 4,000 people purchasing seats through online promotions, which included a blue tartan Red Sox jersey. The Red Sox estimate an additional 1,500 to 2,000 fans from Scottland attended the game.

A six-day break between games in Boston allowed the Tartan army to travel to New York, and their next stop was the Yankee Stadium on June 16th. Hundreds of fans could be seen waving Scottland’s flags and cheering from the upper deck. The fanbase’s biggest takeover was in Miami with the Marlin’s/Rangers welcoming roughly 8,000 members of the Tartan Army to Loan Depot Park

In the beginning of every game America, has a moment of silence, we hold our hand over our heart. We sing the national athame “The Star Spangle Banner” every child and adult in America has heard the song. Since your parents gave you that first sparkler on the 4th of July, when you were five years old. A song to all American’s we hear before every sports game, every military event and each moment we pause to remember those who served our country.

Those brave souls who gave their life for our freedom, the world watched in amazement at our patriotism, they saw for the first time, what true freedom really was. They started singing with us and singing their own songs from their country that inspired them. Together we saw each other for the first time. We saw each other as humans, not just teams or politics, but everyday people.

That is what really touched their heart, the kindness and the good food, were not the only things that made them fall in love with America. It was the people, their heart and soul, they found lifelong friends here while visiting. Some want to move to the USA. I say they are all welcome to come, celebrate our sports, eat our flavorful food and most of embrace freedom. That the world has left out, trying to control everyone, they forgot that the human soul needs happiness and connection. At the World Cup fans found both.

Display it publicly, which a lot of visitors loved about our country. All the flags they saw were in stores, gas stations, supermarkets and department stores, all across America during the World Cup.

This visit has brought a major boost to North America, from Mexico up to Canada. World Cup fans got the whole North American tour. In this World Cup, we had stadiums built already. So, repurposing them into World Cup stadiums was not too difficult to customize.

We have security and police that did a great job protecting the fans, roads, hotels, and infrastructure for traveling from one game to the next hosting city. Each city them traveled to for each game was in a different state, with new food they hadn’t tried before and people and places they had only heard about, in tv shows and movies. One thing that stuck out in a lot of visitors’ videos was the yellow school bus in every city in America.

The weeks they spent visiting were just a warmup, of the celebration that we the people were getting ready for the biggest birthday party America, or the world hasn’t seen in 50 years since the last 200th birthday celebration.
