The Oppenheimer official trailer:
Universal Pictures stated that the Oppenheimer movie “is an epic thriller that trusts audiences into the pulse-pounding paradox of the enigmatic man who must risk destroying the world in order to cave it.”
J. Robert Oppenheimer (1904-1967) was an American physicist credited as the “father of the atomic bomb” for his role in the Manhattan Project during World War Two. After the war, he was chairman of the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission. During the 1950s red scare ‘witch hunts’, he was wrongly accused of communist affiliations and stripped of government positions and his security clearance. The false accusations were made against him because he opposed global nuclear proliferation. He was cleared of all charges after his death.
