Argylle Movie Release 2024

The upcoming Argylle movie is a wonderfully fun romp of action, mystery, comedy, twists, turns, and utter chaos.

The much anticipated spy-action comedy feature film Argylle will be released in theaters in early February 2024. The British produced movie has an excellent ensemble cast of award winning actors and A-listers headed up by Henry Cavill and Bryce Dallas Howard. The director is Matthew Vaughn known for action movies. Argylle was filmed in Britain, Greece, and the U.S. Film distribution is by Universal Pictures and Apple TV. The film is expected to serve as the start of a franchise of at least three films.

The movie is about Elly Conway, played by Bryce Dallas Howard, who is an introverted spy novelist. She is drawn into the real world of espionage when the plots of her novels begin to resemble the activities of a sinister underground syndicate. She finds that in the covert world of spies nothing and no one is what it seems. Henry Cavill plays the super-spy Argylle, an international man of mystery.

On a train with her cat, Elly meets secret agent Aiden Wilde played by Sam Rockwell who involves her in a clandestine operation. Wilde’s boss played by Bryan Lee Cranston tells Elly “You’re a goddamn fortune teller. What you wrote in your new book actually happened.”

British director Matthew Vaughn cast Henry Cavill, “I needed someone to play James Bond. He plays a larger than life action hero with a wink.” Before he worked with Argylle cast members Cavill, Sofia Boutella, and Samuel L. Johnson in other movies he directed. Vaughn is known for the Kingsman series, X-Men series, Kick-Ass, and Snatch.
