Vintage styles have made their way back into the couture fashion world. With all types of leading couture fashion brands, such as Prada and Christian Dior, embracing the old vintage designs with a modern touch. I love the result, beautiful fabrics flowing, detailed bead work, and that red carpet luxury we all love about Hollywood.
It has been a busy year for the designers of Prada, between the red-carpet events, movies premiers, and fashion collections. I bring you the best of 2026, spring and summer collections, for this year so far. The couture detail in the dresses is amazing and the colors in style this year are vibrant reds and bright colors. Elegance and beauty have taken back the fashion world. I am loving the new classic looks, fabric textures, and beaded masterpieces.

Prada dressed seven celebrities for the 2026 SAG-AFTRA Actors Awards, a mix of house signatures, playful colors, and sharply executed tailoring. Starting with what Michelle Williams wearing a the pink embellished long dress, made of leather instead of satin. The Messika jewels completed her look, elegant and stylish with a soft touch of elegance for spring, very nice. It reminds me of spring cheery blossoms, just beautiful.

Clair Danes’ Prada dress was beautiful from the back with a low drape in diamonds over a classic black dress with a slit in the back. Classic design, classic diamonds against the black dress makes it amazing. The third design of the night was one of the best so far, a touch of vintage inspiration with a modern edge. Michelle Monaghan delivered one of my favorites of the group. I love the contrast of the clean, modern top followed by the vintage skirt. The Sabyasachi jewelry completed the final outfit perfectly.
Now let’s move on to the men’s Prada designs. An inspiring collection by Muccia Prada and renowned fashion designer Raf Simons.
Actor Damson Idris was perfect in Prada, as always, clean lines, sharp tailoring, A touch of style. I look forward to seeing more designs like this. You will always get personality when Adam Brody wears Prada and this is exceptional. The yellow silk shirt does all the taking, cutting through the black pants and jacket in confidence. A classic tailored design and a Cartier Tank & Guichets timepiece to complete the outfit. Bold, bright, and attracts attention, a statement piece just brilliant.

Timothee Chalamet showed up in a cream jacket, a classic shirt with black pants. The black and white contrast gives it a 1940s -1950s film noir look with the legendary white and black-tie events. Vintage suits and dresses are coming back, I welcome the return of sophistication and class once again.

Kate Hudson made a commanding entrance at the BAFTA Film Awards in London, England. Kate looked every inch a Best Leading Actress nominee this red Prada gown. The skirt glared with elegance and Prada’s silver satin platforms and Chaumet diamonds that make this look absolutely stunning.

I think Kerry Washington had one of the strongest Prada gowns of the night. The pleated skirt had this 3D floral embroidery on the bodice, this felt like a refreshing shift in design. I love the Chopard jewels, they add a touch of classic style to the overall outfit. Now Carry Mulligan’s custom navy Prada fluid satin dress. The color feels like royalty to me. Navy is one of my favorite colors for a formal dress and those Jean Schumberger earrings by Tiffiny complete the red-carpet style.

Prada’s Spring / Summer collection redefines elegance through recomposition, which is why the fashion house remains popular in culture and in the moment. Prada has always embraced the nexus of fashion, celebrity pop culture, and art. The collection’s central theme was about mixing bright colors and textures, the result was a series of looks where unexpected pairings became creation. Prada sought not to amplify, but to refine.

Prada had a strong presence on the red carpet for the “Costume Art” themed Met Gala. Carry Mulligan wore a custom Prada strawberry red column gown featuring a rectangular motif inspired by the Prada Spring / Summer collection with the original print as an art reference.
Tiffiney jewels look beautiful, adding a touch of diamonds to this unique look. Huner Scafer delivered one of Prada’s clearest responses to the theme in a custom linen gown with printed silk chiffon devore detailing inspired by Gustav Klimt’s portrait of Mada Primavesi.
The soft layering and decorative surface work gave the look a direct link to history. A coordinating floral bow hair accessory and white embordered satin pumps complete her look.

Maya Hawke’s custom Prada layered dress with floral mico-embrodery leaned into the 18th century reference, drawing from the work of Jean Honore Fragonard. The details are impressive and a true inspiration to the work of art it represents. Jewelry is from the Couleur Vivante collection, with red satin pumps, sophisticated and elegant. This dress is one of my favorites from this event.

The last outfit we explore is worn by Amanda Seyfried wearing a custom Prada alabaster-pink dress with a low-waist skirt constructed with symmetrical bows. It is flattering and well executed, but even though I think it is a beautiful dress, I don’t see an art theme for this dress. It does not go with the theme of a work of art.
It has been a great year for fashion this year. I look forward to doing more articles on the next fashion collection in the fall. Until then, have an amazing day. Keep checking aoidemagazine.com for more articles on fashion and movies and much more on culture and art.
