17-year-old Prodigy Takes the Stage at World’s Largest Free Jazz Festival
Anissa Lea, an American-Italian singer/songwriter from Livonia, Mich. captivates listeners with heartfelt original songs and soulful renditions of classic greats. Singing and recording since the age of 13, Anissa’s giant vocals have earned respectable comparisons to Billie Holliday, Amy Winehouse, and Adele.
Anissa will be performing on the Absopure Waterfront Stage at The Detroit Jazz Festival Saturday, September 3 at 4:30 pm. She will be available for interviews in the days leading up to the event, onsite prior to the event, or after her performance. For more than 40 years, The Detroit Jazz Festival has celebrated the city’s rich history of music, providing year-round concerts and educational programming. The festival is free to music fans looking to revel in the artistry and improvisation of jazz legends and aspiring musicians. Located at Hart Plaza in Campus Martius Park, the festival will feature 5 stages – International, National, Regional and Local. Paid parking is available at various lots throughout the downtown area.
