Through these experiences, Terry-Ross developed not only technical mastery but a broader understanding of music as a lifelong pursuit. The harp became her signature instrument, yet her interests remained expansive, embracing classical music, opera, jazz, popular music, and education.

Her philosophy was rooted in a lesson passed down by her grandmother: “You were given a gift. But it’s not a gift unless you give it away.” Those words became a guiding principle throughout her life.
